EbonyiTech Revolution

The EbonyiTech Revolution is a transformative initiative aimed at equipping youth and women in Ebonyi State, with essential digital skills. It focuses on addressing the growing digital divide by providing tech education and resources to empower the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and digital professionals in the state. The program covers a wide range of technology areas, including software development, Cybersecurity, UI/UX, Project management, web development, data analysis, digital marketing, and graphic design.
Through this initiative, participants gain the skills needed to compete in the global digital economy, opening up new opportunities for employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Why Now?
In today’s rapidly digitizing world, technology is at the heart of almost every industry. From healthcare to agriculture, education to commerce, digital tools and platforms are transforming how we live, work, and communicate. Yet, in Ebonyi State, many young people lack access to the tech training and resources needed to take advantage of these opportunities.
The EbonyiTech Revolution is necessary now for several key reasons:
- Global Digital Shift: The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the global shift to digital platforms, making tech skills essential for participation in the modern workforce.
- Youth Unemployment: Nigeria, including Ebonyi, faces high levels of youth unemployment. Equipping young people with digital skills can help address this by creating pathways to tech jobs, remote work, and entrepreneurship.
- Gender Inclusivity: Many women in Ebonyi face barriers to entering the tech sector. This initiative prioritizes inclusivity, giving young women the skills and opportunities to succeed in the tech industry.
- Global Competitiveness: For Nigeria to remain competitive globally, it must invest in building a skilled workforce, and programs like EbonyiTech are critical to that investment.

Through this initiative, participants gain the skills needed to compete in the global digital economy, opening up new opportunities for employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Who Can Benefit from the Revolution?

The EbonyiTech Revolution primarily targets:
- Youth (Aged 18-35): Young people who are either unemployed or underemployed, giving them the skills they need to thrive in the digital economy.
- Women: Through specific initiatives like Women in Tech Ebonyi, the program ensures gender inclusivity, providing young women with opportunities to break into the male-dominated tech industry.
- Entrepreneurs and Innovators: Those interested in starting their own tech ventures or utilizing digital tools to enhance existing businesses.
- Communities: Local businesses, organizations, and institutions benefit as a digitally skilled workforce brings innovation and improved services to the region.
